Post-Operative Instructions

PRE-OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE ANY COSMETIC SURGERY OPERATION IN ISTANBUL

- With the permission of the anesthesiologist, stop your antiplatelet treatment (aspirin, plavix) 7 days before your surgery as there is a risk of hematoma.
- Respect a 7-hour fast before the operation (do not drink, eat or smoke)
- Take a shower with soap and water the day before and the morning of the operation

POST-OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS AFTER EACH COSMETIC SURGERY OPERATION:

• Leave the dressings in place until the surgeon has approved their removal 
• Clean the scar with sterile compresses and physiological saline solution
• Apply and instill the postoperative treatments the day after the operation, when the dressings are removed
• Avoid intense physical exercise during the first week
• Do not expose your scars to the sun and apply sunscreen (to avoid pigmentation).
• Avoid smoking, to promote proper healing
